Hemostatic Powder

  • Coltix® is a next-generation hemostatic powder designed to effectively control both minor and major bleeding episodes, with additional anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.
  • Specifically formulated to activate and support both the intrinsic and extrinsic pathways of the coagulation cascade, Coltix® significantly reduces bleeding time at the site of injury. It offers superior absorption capacity (able to absorb 9-10 times its own weight) enabling rapid and reliable hemostasis. Its rapid action and strong adherence to wet tissue ensure full contact with the wound, making it ideal for use in emergency care, surgical procedures, trauma cases, battlefield injuries, and contaminated wounds. By combining effective bleeding control with infection prevention, Coltix® provides a comprehensive solution for managing high-risk bleeding situations. This dual action significantly reduces the risk of infection an essential factor in treating bleeding wounds, where infection can cause serious complications such as delayed healing, limb amputation, or even increased mortality.

If the remaining material does not interfere with further treatment, it may be left in place, as it is bioresorbable.
